Uzbekistan is now one of our main destinations. This country knows how to impress—and leave a lasting impression: from its rich history to its magnificent architecture, from its delicious cuisine to its well-developed culture of hospitality and tourism, and, of course, through its people—truly welcoming, truly cheerful, truly warm.
Our magical eight-day journey through Uzbekistan’s rich and distinctive world was an endless succession of discoveries and moments of genuine wonder. It was also an opportunity to change perceptions, overcome preconceptions and shatter stereotypes. In eight days, Uzbekistan thoroughly convinced us that it is a fantastic travel destination.
We immersed ourselves in the authentic world of the East and felt the spirit of a rich history preserved not only in magnificent architectural monuments, but also in people’s everyday lives and traditions.
Tashkent is a rapidly developing capital with excellent infrastructure—a city that remembers its past while embracing all the rhythms of a large, modern metropolis. Here, we visited the historic bazaar and the museum of traditional life, strolled through vast squares and tasted the famous plov, prepared daily for several thousand people.
Samarkand is a true Eastern fairy tale, from the historic Registan Square to the ancient city of Afrasiab. Its colours, sights and stories were simply breathtaking. Every step brought fresh admiration; every corner revealed another layer of history.
Bukhara transported us back to the days of the Silk Road. Its vast historic centre, with its caravanserais, mosques, madrasas, narrow streets and boutique hotels, was a fairy tale of its own—a place where time seemed to stand still.
Khiva had an entirely new set of impressions in store for us. Here, you do more than visit a historic city: you live within it, in the truest sense of the word. Walking among centuries-old walls and historic buildings, you feel as though you have stepped several hundred years into the past.
The comfort of travelling also deserves a special mention. High-speed trains make it possible to save considerable time on transfers. Direct Yerevan–Tashkent–Yerevan flights are another welcome advantage, while visa-free entry for Armenian citizens makes Uzbekistan an even more accessible and straightforward destination.
The sense of safety and security in Uzbekistan, the hospitality of its people and their warm attitude towards visitors also deserve particular recognition. And with Russian widely spoken, travelling becomes even easier.
As we mentioned at the beginning, we will be making Uzbekistan one of Hamshen Tour’s priority destinations. And we have every reason to do so. This country can truly offer the most beautiful, vivid and wonderfully uplifting experiences, even to the most discerning travellers.
So we look forward to welcoming you—with warmth and affection.
Uzbekistan will surprise you, delight you and leave a lasting impression.
You’ll return with love. With so much love.
