Khoranashat monastery is one of the most impressive medieval Armenian monasteries, which also has great educational and scientific significance. The construction of Khoranashat was completed in 1222. Khoranashat is located in the historical Tavush province, near the village of Chinari in the Tavush region, in the immediate vicinity of the Armenian-Azerbaijan border. For many years it was almost impossible to visit Khoranashat, but in recent years visits to the monastery have become more accessible.
