LOK FORTRESS

Lok fortress is located on the Armenian-Georgian border, on the hill of the same name, about 2 km north of Sarchapet village, Lori province, Armenia. This medieval fortress has a commanding position over the surroundings. Lok mountain, on the top of which is the fortress, is at an altitude of 2140 meters. Lok fortress, which is a medieval structure, supposedly built in the 12th-13th centuries, is also strategically connected to Bazaberd-Chakhalaberd Fortress. There is also a newly built chapel at the top of the mountain.
