DAY 1
Passing Gyumri, Bavra, Javakhk (Georgia)
Tsovakn Hyusiso (Childir) Lake
Mush: Sulukh Bridge and Aratsani River
Dinner in Mush
Overnight: MushDeparting from Yerevan, passing through the Bavra checkpoint, we enter Javakhk, from where, crossing the Turkish-Georgian border, we cross the shores of Lake Tsovakn, making our way to Kars. Soon we will pass through the evergreen forests of Sarikamish, after which our way goes to the sweet Mush.
DAY 2
Transfer from Mush to Sasun
Climbing Mt Maratuk
Dinner in Batman or Sasun
Overnight: Batman or SasunThe total distance of the hike is about 6 km, the relative height is about 500 meters. The height of Mt Maratuk is 2967 meters. Some part of our road we will pass with 4x4 cars.
DAY 3
Climbing Mt Tsovasar
Dinner in Mush
Overnight: MushThis day is dedicated to the ascent of Tsovasar, one of the symbols of Sassoun. From Tsovasar there is a wonderful view of both Sassoun and Maratuk mountain.
To reach the peak of Tsovasar we will start early in the morning. The total hiking distance is 15 km and the relative height is 900 meters. The height of Tsovasar is 2721 meters.
DAY 4
Breakfast at hotel
Basen: Araks River and Shepherd's (Hoviv) Bridge
Sarighamish forests
Lunch in Kars
Back to YerevanOn the way back, we have interesting places to visit. During our return, we will pass through Basen, where we will stop on the banks of the Araks River to see the extremely impressive Hoviv Bridge. Sarikamish forests are also waiting for us, after seeing them we will continue our way.
