KOSH FORTRESS AND ST STEPHANOS CHURCH, UJAN, AVAN (EASY HIKING)

Our first stop is in one of the settlements with the richest historical heritage - Ujan, historical Vzhan. Next, we will continue our trip to the Motkan ancient fortress of Ujan, which has reached our days from the depths of thousands of years, and we will admire wonderful views from its territory. After that we will continue our way to the village of Kosh. First, we will visit the Kosh Fortress, which is not only well-preserved, but also has a very beautiful structure and is extremely impressive with a wonderful view of Mt Ararat and the Ararat Valley. Then we will walk to the Church of Saint Stepanos of Kosh. Avan is rich in history, where we will see the local early Christian church. This trip is part of Hamshen Tour's special project "Armenian Fortresses and Castles".

Hike distance is 5 km (round trip). You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
