During our two-day visit to Syunik, we will visit Meghri, one of the unique corners of Armenia, which is rich in historical, wonderful and unique monuments. In Meghri, it is planned to reach the impressive fortress of Meghri, visit St. Hovhannes Church of Small Town, rich in unique frescoes, the impressive Church of St. Astvatsatsin in Mets Tagh, the mysterious Anapastanats Monastery, walk along the colorful streets of Meghri. Of course, one of the highlights of this trip is the Araks River sunset from Meghri, which we will also fully enjoy. During our visit, we will also see some more of the countless treasures of Syunik: historical Vahanavank Monastery, the magical Tatev Monastery, the impressive Vorotnavank Monastery, and we will also enjoy the views of Mt Khustup.

Overnight: Meghri or AgarakWe begin our wonderful discoveries in the beautiful Syunik. Two wonders of Armenian medieval architecture await us at once: Vorotnavank Monastery near Sisian and Vahanavank Monastery in Kapan. Next, we will stop at the Meghri mountain pass to enjoy the breathtaking views of mountains. We will visit the very unique Anapastanats monastery in Meghri, and we will meet the sunset on the shores of River Araks, enjoying the already legendary view of the Araks valley.

Back to YerevanWe continue to discover the wonders of Meghri. Saint Astvatsatsin Church is waiting for us, which is ready to surprise with its uniqueness. We will also climb one of the towers of the Meghri fortress to catch wonderful views. Next stop is the St. Hovhannes Church, one of the main visiting cards of Meghri, which is distinguished by its magnificent and impressive frescoes. On the way back, we will also visit Tatev Monastery, one of the most important examples of Armenian architecture.
