On our way to Kachkar, in Shavshat, we will see the famous local fortress, built during the Bagratunis, and from the highest point of the fortress, we will be able to enjoy the wonderful nature of the surroundings, after which we will go along the banks of the Chorokh River to rest and prepare for the ascent of Kachkar.
First day of ascent:
For the ascent of Kachkar / Kajkar, from the guest house of the Olgunlar (2100 meters), we will start hiking along beautiful paths to reach the main camp (2800 meters), where we will rest, spend the night in our tents and prepare for the next important day.
The first day's total hiking distance is about 7 km, the elevation is about 700 meters.
Second day of ascent:
In the early morning of the second day, we will start the ascent to Kachkar peak from the base camp, we will enjoy the indescribable joy of standing on the top, then we will return to the base camp, rest a little, and then we will reach the guest house with a moderate hiking.
The second day's total hiking distance to the top of Kachkar, back to the main camp and guest house is about 15 km, the elevation from the main camp to the top of Kachkar is 1000 meters, the height of the mountain is 3947 meters.
Fantastic views are open from the top of Kachkar. One of the unique aspects of Kajkar is that not only the views from the mountain are incredibly beautiful, but also the paths leading to the top, which are distinguished by their beautiful mountain ponds and rivers.

First, we will see the impressive Parkhar church located at the foot of Mt Kajkar, then we will also cool off with the waters of Tortum, the largest waterfall in the Armenian highland, then passing through Olti and visiting the mighty fortress of Olti, we will return to Yerevan.
