NEW YEAR IN VAN + WINTER ANI, KARS, BERKRI

In the beginning of our fabulous and symbolic New Year's trip, we will see Lake Tsovakn Hyusiso, which freezes in winter, becoming a major tourist center. Kars is impressive in winter, which we will discover together. We will see Kars Fortress, Arakelots Church, Vardan’s Bridge and Charents House. On the first day, we will also have a very impressive crossing of the slopes of Mount Ararat.

We will have interesting visits, and in the second half of the day, you will have a rest to prepare for the wonderful New Year's program. We will start the day from Agravakar, where the legendary Mher's door is. Then we will visit the Van cats, after which we will visit the fortress of Van. After these wonderful visits, you will be given free time, and in the late evening we will prepare for the New Year celebration. An interesting program is planned for the New Year, which is completely Armenian: Armenian music, national song and dance, delicious dishes and more.

This day of our trip is highly symbolic, because on the very first day of the New Year we will be in Haykaberd, where, according to Armenian traditions, Hayk Nahapet fought his battle and we will start the year from the beginning of the Armenians. After that we will visit Aghtamar Island with the Church of the Holy Cross. This day is also special with a visit to the spiritual center of Vaspurakan, Varagavank Monastery, from where the wonderful winter view of Lake Van and the city of Van will open.

The first stop is Berkri Waterfall, which is extremely impressive in winter, after which we will reach the shores of River Araks. And the last visit of the day is the unrepeatable Ani, which becomes simply fantastic in winter and will impress you for a lifetime. We will walk through the streets of Ani to see the masterpiece monuments and wonderful views.
