ASTGHIK AND VAHAGN WATERFALLS: KHOSROV RESERVE (HIKING)
One of the most remote and beautiful corners of nature in Armenia, the Khosrov Forest is calling us, where two of the most beautiful waterfalls are hidden: Astghik and Vahagni waterfalls, which are also distinguished by myths and interesting stories. We will start from the approaches to Garni, from the historical Azat Bridge, after which we will enter the territory of the Khosrov Reserve and, accompanied by wonderful views and magnificent nature, we will walk first to Vahagni and then to Astghik waterfalls, enjoying the day to the fullest. In addition to the waterfalls, true to the traditions of the Hamshen tour, we will also discover a cultural monument, in this case, the Geghmahovt / Bayburd early Christian church, which was miraculously discovered.
The hike is about 16 km round trip. Hiking gear and shoes are preferable.
