HAMSHEN IN WINTER 3 DAYS

Crossing the mountains, we will enter the Shavshat province. In Shavshat, we will see the famous local fortress built by the Bagratunis, as well as enjoy the wonderful nature of the surroundings from the fortress. Our way will continue through beautiful forests and gorges to Ardvin. On the way, we will see one of the four most important rivers of the Armenian highlands, River Chorokh, the city of Ardvin, then through Borchka province we will reach the coast of the Black Sea, where the city of Hopa will be our overnight.

In the morning, after breakfast with a panoramic view of the Black Sea, we will go to discover the wonders of the Hamshen. We will enter the Fortuna River Gorge, which will provide a new dose of impressions. We will see the wonderful bridges of Hamshen, we will climb the Zil Castle, which is one of the most impressive fortresses in the world. We will visit Ayder's famous yayla, which is a tourist center with its beautiful forests, waterfalls, unique architecture, Hamshenian costumes, and interesting music typical of the area. Here we will taste Hamshen dishes, as well as enjoy the legendary Hamshen tea in the heart of Hamshen. Winter Ayder is a real fairy tale, which we will have time to enjoy. After enjoying the views of Ayder and the Kajkar mountains, we will return to Hopa.

Leaving the city Hopa, we will pass through Borchka province and see the gorge of the Chorokh River. Then we will go to Ardahan, passing through the beautiful gorge of Berta. Ardahan is waiting for us with its mighty fortress and Kura river. We will return to Yerevan after discovering the mighty Ardahan.
