PROSHABERD FORTRESS AND SPITAKAVOR CHURCH (HIKING)

This is a wonderful destination that will allow you to combine architectural masterpieces, impressive sights and a wonderful hike. Our hiking will start from Vernashen village. As a result, we will see the magnificent, extremely valuable Spitakavor Monastery, where the tomb of Garegin Nzhdeh is located. Then we will continue our hike to one of the most powerful and impressive medieval Armenian fortresses, Proshaberd or Boloraberd, from where we can see wonderful views of the mountains of Vayots Dzor and Mt Ararat.

Hike distance is 16 km (round trip). You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
