OKONAVANK MONASTERY (HIKING)

Okonavank is one of Armenian little-known, but very mysterious, unique places, distinguished by its location, architecture, including a huge khachkar (cross-stone). Okonavank is geographically close to the famous Lastiver Waterfall, but this medieval monastery is actually little known. We will start our interesting hike from Yenokavan, then passing through the forests of Tavush, we will reach this impressive monastery, where we will feel the breath of history and architecture in harmony with nature, after which we will return to Yenokavan.

Hike distance is 20 km (round trip). You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
