SASUN AND MUSH 5 DAYS
Many of the treasures of Sassoun (Sasun) and Mush await us during this truly unique journey. With this program we will visit the monasteries of St Arakelots, St Karapet, Gomots, Aghperik we will visit Sasun, see the mountains Maratuk, Sim, Andok, Tsovasar, David Fortress. In addition, we will be in Basen, Sarikamish, Bitlis, which will make our trip even more intense. At the same time, during this trip, it is possible for the members of the group to visit the settlements of their ancestors in Sassoun and Mush, which must be agreed in advance in our office.

Overnight: MushDeparting from Yerevan, passing through the Bavra checkpoint, we enter Javakhk (Georgia), from where, crossing the Turkish-Georgian border, we cross the shores of Lake Tsovakn. Soon we will pass through the forests of Sarikamish, after which our way goes to sweet Mush. We will visit St Karapet Monastery of Mush, which is one of the most important Armenian Monasteries.

And finally Sassoun opens its doors to us․ Crossing the slopes of Mount Sim, we will visit Shenik, Semal and Gelieguzan. One of our most important stops today is the Tukh Manuk Monastery in Gelieguzan and the tombs of Aghbyur Serob and Hrayr Dzhokhk. Following the flow of the Khulp River, we will reach the south of Sassoun․ Here is the thousand-year-old Batman Bridge.

Overnight: BatmanToday, the most important stop of our journey is waiting for us - the village Mktenk․ Mktenk is the birthplace of George Chaush, one of the most beautiful villages in Bsanats province of Sassoun. We will also see the paternal house of Chaush. Afterwards we will visit the Castle of Sassoun, built by Sanasar-Baghdasar brothers, known to us from the Armenian epic. Our next stop is Gomots Monastery. And here is the historic Khabljoz at the foot of Maratuk.

Overnight: MushThe province of Hazzo and the fortress of Hazzo await us, and after seeing them, we will continue our journey to Bitlis. Then, another masterpiece will be on our way, Aghberik Monastery. With a beautiful hike we will reach this important monument and enjoy it.

Back to YerevanWe will start the day in the Armenian district of Mush, where we will see not only St. Marine, one of the famous churches of the city of Mush, but also the stone-built Armenian houses that have survived to this day. And here we will reach the banks of the Aratsani river of Mush valley, where we will see the legendary bridge of Sulukh. Another stop is planned in Basen, where we will approach the Araks River and see the beautiful bridge of Hoviv. We will visit Kars and come back to Yerevan.
