ASCENT TO MT ILKASAR + ILKASAR FORTRESS AND ANGELS’ CANYON
Interesting discoveries continue, and this time together we will discover unique places with a wonderful combination of history and mountaineering. We will climb the Ilkasar mountain, on the top of which is the mysterious ancient fortress. In addition we will visit Angels’ Canyon. From the top of Mount Ilkasar, you can see the views of Mt Ararat, Aragats, Ararat valley. Thus, during one visit, we will walk through a beautiful gorge, climb to the top of the mountain and see an important historical monument.
Hike distance is 16 km (round trip), relative height: about 500 meters, mountain height: 1465 meters. You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
