MASTARA, IRIND, SHENIK, GARNAHOVIT, DASHTADEM, TALIN
Our first visit will be to the St. George Church of Irind, built in the 7th century. Then we will go to Mastara, where we will see the Church of St. Hovhannes, one of the early medieval masterpieces, distinguished by its architectural style, as well as the beautiful khachkar (cross stone) called St. Nshan. Our next stop will be at the Shenik. We will also be in the village of Garnahovit, where we will see the extremely impressive and valuable St. Gevorg church. Then we will go to Talin, where the St Cathoghice Church is waiting for us, famous for its rich exterior decoration. One of the important stops on our trip is the Dashtadem Fortress, which is one of the best and most impressive examples of medieval fortress construction.
