HOROMAYR MONASTERIES, ODZUN, ARDVI, AMRAKITS (EASY HIKING)
During this journey to Lori region of Armenia, we will discover the natural and man-made wonders of the place. The first stop of the route is very special and remarkable: the village of Amrakits and the local Russian Orthodox church, the church of St. Nicholas with its unique architecture. Then we will visit Ardvi, where we will visit one of the most important monuments of Lori, the monastery of St Hovhannes (Srbanes) and the natural monument Odzaport. We will continue our way to Verin (Upper) Horomayr Monastery, then Odzun Cathedral and the impressive and valuable local temple. We will also reach Nerkin (Inner) Horomayr Monastery by a beautiful hike, enjoying the wonderful view of Debet Gorge.
Hike distance is 5 km (round trip). You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
