LENK TEMUR’S FORTRESS, AKHTALA, BRIDGE OF SANAHIN (HIKING)

Akhtala and its surroundings have many hidden wonders, among which Kaghiberd Fortress has a special place, which is known among the locals as Lenk Temur's (Tamerlane’s) Fortress. The fortress was named so, because the author of many destructions, Tamerlane, could not capture this fortress. With us you can reach this fortress and enjoy the breathtaking views from there. We will discover the Akhtala Monastery, also known as Pghndzavank and the medieval fortress surrounding it, Pghndzaberd, one of the most picturesque places of Lori in Armenia.

Hike distance is 4 km (round trip). You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes.
