LAKE TSAKKAR + BAGHABERD FORTRESS (HIKING)

Tsakkar lake is waiting for us in one of the most impressive corners of the Zangezur mountains. During this wonderful two-day trip to Syunik province, we will not only walk along the beautiful paths to reach the wonderful Tsakkar (Tsaghkari) Lake, hidden in the Zangezur mountains, but we will also climb one of our most powerful medieval fortresses, Baghaberd Fortress of Kapan, from where we will also fully enjoy the breathtaking views. Our tent will be next to the Meghri mountain pass, which promises a great amount of wonderful impressions.

Hike distance is 20 km (round trip), relative height: about 750 meters, lake height: 3270 meters. You must have hiking shoes and hiking clothes, flashlight, sleeping bag.
