KASAKH GORGE, OHANAVAN TUMB, SERKEVILAVANK, KARMI VANK
A wonderful day awaits us in the Kasakh Gorge, where we add a unique historical heritage to the natural beauties. We will start our impressive hike from the Serkevil village site of Ohanavan village, where we will see the incredibly beautiful Serkevilavank and the nearby Cyclopean fortress, after which we will start walking towards the Kasakh Gorge. In the Kasakh Gorge, we will visit the newly discovered Ohanavan rock-cut tomb, which experts consider to be an early medieval monument. It is one of the most impressive discoveries in recent years. After that, we will walk to Karmir Vank Monastery, which is an interesting rock-cut structure. After all this, we will return to the starting point of the hike.
The total length of the hike is about 5 km, with an elevation gain of about 200 meters. Hiking gear and shoes are recommended.
